Dawson-Boyd Public Schools wants to ensure our students are Bound for Better!
On February 12th, Dawson-Boyd School District residents will decide whether to invest in continued improvements in our schools. This investment would repair and upgrade our school buildings to meet the needs of today’s students and those who will follow for years to come.
The purpose of this website is to provide the information you will need to make an informed vote. This includes details about the needs of our students and our school buildings, how the plan was developed, details of the plan, and the tax impact on residents.
With no major investment in our core educational facilities since 1976, our facilities are not up to today’s standards for safety, space, educational best practices or maintenance.
The District spent over 10 months evaluating our schools’ needs and receiving community input to help refine the plan. Thoughtful consideration has been put into correctly identifying the needs in our buildings.
Throughout the planning process, the District’s goal was to create a plan that provides opportunity by removing learning barriers and promoting success for all students. At the same time, we respect that local taxpayers fund the plan, so we have worked to provide a high level of value for our investment.
Ready to vote but don’t know how? We can help with that.
